FAQS

School Trips

How does a stay at Campo Aventura work?

Campo Aventura Júnior Resort has prepared a guide where you can find all this information in detail. Schedules, advice, questions, among many other details and important information.

What are School Programmes?
They take place throughout the year and last for one or more days. Children/young people are accompanied by school teachers or institution supervisors. There are activities for children over the age of 5 and our monitors are on hand 24 hours a day.

What are Summer Camps?

They take place during the summer (July, August, September) and last for 7 days, on a boarding basis, with overnight stays and activities included. Young people are registered individually by their parents or guardians and are placed in the appropriate age group. The coordinators/monitors accompany and are responsible for the children's stay in our space, with the responsibility of providing your child with a family atmosphere during this period.

Campo Aventura organises activity programmes, school trips and school parties lasting one or more days. Students come with their school/institution accompanied by their teachers, and are supervised by Campo Aventura's technical team 24 hours a day, ensuring the success of the programme.

The programmes are designed according to the ages of the participants, number of participants and time of year... they include meals, overnight stays, activity insurance and the activities specified in the chosen programme.

Note: it is important that parents provide teachers with any information they deem important, such as dietary information, family information (divorce/death of a family member, etc.) or any other information they deem necessary, so that we can give our best to each child.

The programmes developed at Campo Aventura take into account a set of values and rules that are important for the education of our young people, always based on the principles we believe in: loyalty, trust, friendship, sharing, respect for others, among others.

We provide moments of sharing and unique experiences during our participants' stay, with the guarantee that these will be memorable and important moments in each of their lives.

We would also like to highlight the fact that during this period, teachers and educators share a ‘different’ environment with their students, which helps to strengthen the teacher-student relationship. It is indeed an opportunity to combine historical content (e.g. Peddy Paper activity in the village of Óbidos) with fun, in a healthy and playful environment.

Campo Aventura has its own unique philosophy, passing on to young people all the values it believes in and defends. It is important to provide continuity from school and home during the time they spend with us.

Compliance with rules is fundamental and from an early age everyone understands the ‘life’ of the Camp. We value professionalism and the need to have new experiences throughout our lives, so that we can grow in a balanced way.

Learning to share, to ‘be close’, to overcome fears and/or apprehensions is inherent in the activities developed by Campo Aventura.

With facilities unrivalled in Europe, Campo Aventura in Óbidos offers all its customers a unique and excellent environment.

The farm has one of the oldest watermills in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the Water Space, which delights visitors, and the Saloon, Xbox, Old West and many other spaces that complement a stay at the Campo Aventura Júnior Resort.

We also have two dining areas, the Margarita Restaurant and the Ritrovo Pizzeria!

For overnight stays, participants use the Hotel West or Hotel North, Country Rooms and Mó de Cima. (The rooms have a capacity of between 4 and 12 beds).

This is a topic that is very important to us and to which we devote a great deal of effort!
At Campo Aventura, safety is one of our top priorities.

ACTIVE SAFETY

Entry to our premises is limited and properly controlled, with the entire area fenced off and covered by video surveillance devices. We also have fire and theft control systems in place.

We also have an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) programme in place at our facilities to ensure prevention.

The swimming pool is fully fenced off and strictly monitored. Once in operation, there are always at least two monitors on permanent watch.

We value the elimination of critical points, giving priority to prevention in all safety matters.

FOOD SAFETY

Campo Aventura has implemented the HACCP process at its facilities, conducting regular audits under the responsibility of the food safety manager.

Campo Aventura now has two distinct areas:

Pizzaria Ritrovo & Restaurante Margarita

Campo Aventura is concerned with your child's diet and encourages them to eat well and try new dishes whenever necessary.

If your child requires specific dietary care due to medical reasons, please inform us in advance so that we can serve them according to their needs.

We advise children to bring their belongings properly labelled and to avoid bringing items such as PlayStations, electronic games, mobile phones, etc.
All valuable items (cameras, mobile phones, money or other items considered valuable) will be handed over to the coordinator on the first day of camp, who will be responsible for them.

If they remain in the participant's custody (this option is only available for MP3 players and money, excluding mobile phones), the coordinator will not be held responsible for their disappearance.

Campo Aventura advises that all other items be labelled and is not responsible for loss, damage or misplacement of any kind of belongings.

There is also the Shopping Camp, a space where young people can purchase ‘souvenirs’ (T-shirts/mugs/caps/bags/among many other novelties), chocolates, biscuits, drinks or ice cream.

Campo Aventura has a first aid office on site, open 24 hours a day. In addition, monitors are trained in first aid and intervene in cases of minor injuries.

If more care is required, Campo Aventura will take the child to Caldas da Rainha Hospital, where the paediatric care has earned our highest praise.

Any medications/illnesses and/or disabilities should be mentioned so that we can always act in the most appropriate manner, aware of all the necessary care. Many situations can interfere with a child's behaviour during their stay at Campo Aventura, so please inform us so that we can help in the best way possible (birth of a sibling, bedwetting, anorexia, etc.).

The information will always be confidential and treated with the utmost sensitivity.

• All valuable items (cameras, mobile phones, money, or other items considered valuable) must be handed over to the coordinator on the first day of camp, who will be responsible for them. If they remain in the participant's possession (with the exception of mobile phones, where this option does not exist), the coordinator will not be held responsible for their disappearance.

• Campo Aventura advises that all other items be identified and accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or misplacement of any kind of belongings.

• Is the programme subject to change? It should also be noted that the activity plan may be subject to change, at the discretion of the coordinator of each group, due to external factors or in the interests of the participants (weather conditions, safety concerns, transport delays, a one-off event of interest, etc.).

• When you enrol your student in a Campo Aventura programme, it is assumed that they have given their authorisation for filming and photography to be used for the promotion of the company, namely in catalogues, on the website, etc. If you do not give your authorisation, you must inform the person responsible for the school organising the visit, so that they can pass this information on to us. Failure to indicate otherwise will be considered as authorisation on the part of the Head of Education.

• Alcohol, tobacco, and drugs are prohibited.

• Participants, even if of legal age, are not permitted to smoke during their stay at Campo Aventura. Smoking is also prohibited inside the Campo Aventura premises.
